Most marketers and digital gurus these days evangelize about the power of data and analytics, to the point some have started experiencing “analytics fatigue”. The new mantra is: the more information you gather about your customer the better you can satisfy their most hidden needs. And that is Ok (to a point)… if you are Google, Facebook, Amazon or Apple. But if you are not, there may be a way to manage large amounts of customer generated information without assaulting people´s privacy: “personification”. There is a great deal of nonpersonal contextual data available to tailor experiences, let´s get to work on it.
