The new breed of retail is already reducing the brand loyalty, but an even bigger wave of technological change is due. The retail platforms themselves will replace brands - currently loved for their design and price choices. As a result, the brands will become mere suppliers, under tremendous price pressure. Many brands will go out of business, but those prepared, will flourish. This particular change will have the biggest impact on retail, impacting not just the consumer-facing retail, but every aspect of the retail and supply processes.
